Apple has just updated its online retail store with a new unlocked version of the iPhone 4, now customers and buyers can place the order of iPhone 4 in either black or white at a starting price of $649 for 16GB, with the option to upgrade to 32GB for $100 extra.

Currently, Apple is just offering GSM model of the iPhone 4 is available for purchase without a carrier contract, while the the CDMA model is still tied to a Verizon contract. Shipping estimates place the black version as arriving within 1-3 business days, whereas the white version will take slightly longer, at around 3-5 business days. Although the phone comes without a carrier lock, Apple notes that users will need to supply their own activated micro-SIM from their service provider. Micro-SIMs from the iPad 3G will not work.

Apple caters to U.S. users who often travel internationally and who dont want to be locked in an AT&T contract, which means they can swap SIM cards and save money on roaming fees. Furthermore, international buyers will definitely want to get the contract-free version, whose price can be significantly higher in other countries (for example, an unlocked 16 GB iPhone 4 costs 629 ($909) in Germany, much pricier than the unlocked version in the U.S.). With the unlocked iPhone, the US has now joined the numerous other countries able to officially purchase an iPhone with no strings attached.

Written By Lingkar Dunia on Monday, May 9, 2011 | 10:20 AM

Soon internet users will be able to get Online Ticketing Service from Groupon and Live Nation. Because Groupon and Live Nation has team up to launch a new Online Ticketing Deals on local events channel called GrouponLive.

GrouponLive, the service will combine Groupon's local distribution abilities with Live Nation's roster of events. Consumers will be able to use GrouponLive to find limited-time deals on sporting events, concerts, theater shows, and other live events, the companies said. However, it will be limited to North America.

GrouponLive, which will launch in time for the summer concert season, the companies said in a statement, will utilize Groupons local reach to market event tickets sold through Live Nation. Interested parties are advised to sign up for the service at grouponlive.com, although we expect GrouponLive offers will also appear in the inboxes of existing subscribers come late spring.

The announcement of GrouponLive comes at a time when Groupon is facing more pressure than ever. Aside from competing services from Google, Facebook, and Amazon-backed LivingSocial, AT&T announced last week that it's launching a Groupon rival through its Yellow Pages site.

The deal was brought about in part by Guy Oseary, who sits on Groupons advisory board and works with Live Nation on behalf of performance artists he manages, such as Madonna.

Amazon Launches App Test Drive Feature for AppStore

Written By Lingkar Dunia on Monday, March 28, 2011 | 12:09 AM

Amazon has introduced a new platform where Android users can test their apps directly from app store before buying any app of android. Today in any App stores its really hard to take a test drive of any particular app so if you purchase an app that you do not like or want then there is a little chance of being able to return it. In most cases, you cant even try a demo version of the application, so what did Amazon do? They have actually created a virtual machine that allows app users to test out any app from their store in your browser before you buy it.

Amazon more said that; App Test Drive feature is a great solution to an issue that end users currently face. The one downside to Test Drive is that you have to be at a PC and it currently does not work if you are browsing on your mobile device.
According to Amazon Spokesman;

Clicking the "Test drive now" button launches a copy of this app on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), a web service that provides on-demand compute capacity in the cloud for developers. When you click on the simulated phone using your mouse, we send those inputs over the Internet to the app running on Amazon EC2 - just like your mobile device would send a finger tap to the app. Our servers then send the video and audio output from the app back to your computer. All this happens in real time, allowing you to explore the features of the app as if it were running on your mobile device.

Amazon has already launched its AppStore for Android users. It will help users to take a Test Drive of any Android App within their Appstore. In a market where features drive consumers, Amazon has unleashed a top notch product that may draw users away from Google's own Marketplace.

Amazon Launches Its Own AppStore - Amazon AppStore

Written By Lingkar Dunia on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 | 10:53 PM

Amazon has also comes into a market with its own AppStore after Andoird and Apple stores. Amazon AppStore will more attract those audiences who regularly shops at Amazon's portals. The AppStore looks familiar with apps divided into logical categories, best seller, paid and free sections. Pages for individual apps are laid out in a similar manner to any other product on Amazon, with screenshots, ratings and product descriptions all present and accounted for.

Amazon will also screen every app before allowing it to appear on the Appstore, an approach far closer to that taken by Apple and a definite step away from the relatively open submission process for the Android Market.

In terms of design, it will largely come down to individual taste, but to this writer the Amazon Appstore appeared much cleaner and easier to navigate than Google's ''native'' offering.

For the next 19 hours, visitors to the store will be greeted with a free copy of Angry Birds Rio, the much-hyped, movie-themed, Amazon-exclusive version of the popular mobile game. For those of you on the Apple side of the fence, the game also launched today on iOS. Amazon will offer one paid app for free each day.

Purchasing apps requires the installation of the Amazon Appstore app on your device, as well as an Amazon account. Users will also need to follow a few simple steps to enable apps to be installed from ''unknown sources''.

Checkout is handled using the company's existing payment infrastructure. The need to install an app before making purchases on the Appstore would seem to contradict a report last month that apps would be able to be purchased from Amazon's store without an Android device and installed at a later date.

If Amazon can leverage its brand power to get its app store onto Android devices, Google's offering could be in serious trouble, though at present the search giant has the distinct advantage of being the only app store installed by default on every Android phone. It's highly likely Amazon is working feverishly behind the scenes to change that situation.

You can check and visit Amazon AppStore live here.

Follow Apple App Store On Twitter Now !!

Written By Lingkar Dunia on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 | 8:26 AM

After brings Apple iTunesMusic on Twitter, now Apple has launched Apple App Store on Twitter with the twitter name @AppStore, new Twitter account for its popular iOS and Mac App Store. The new @AppStore Twitter account only made its debut a few hours ago, but it has already amassed more than 35,000 Twitter followers as of this writing. For comparison, its sister account, @iTunesMusic, has more than 680,000 followers.
As the accounts first tweet explains, @AppStore will feature new apps in Apples iOS and Mac App Stores and provide exclusive offers for Twitter users. For example, the accounts second tweet provided a quick pitch and a link to Nikes Training Club App.

Creating a Twitter account for the App Store seems like a simple and effective way to generate more buzz and more downloads about featured apps. Its essentially the same thing Apple has been doing with its App Store Facebook Page, which has nearly 1 million fans. Apple also has five popular iTunes Twitter accounts tweeting about new films, music and TV shows.

Still, Apple is known for its lack of engagement in social media. The company doesnt have official Facebook or Twitter accounts. While the @AppStore account is a refreshing addition to Apples social media roster, dont expect Steve Jobs, Tim Cook or Apple, Inc. to be tweeting anytime soon.

Shop Online On Facebook With Amazon's Quidisi

Written By Lingkar Dunia on Saturday, January 15, 2011 | 12:42 PM

Wants to shop online on facebook? Now you can do online shopping on facebook with the world top online retailer Amazon. Amazon has launched its shops on facebook for users to do online shopping with the variety of products online. Amazons subsidiary Quidisi has opened up a few stores selling household items on the social network.

Quidsi, which was acquired by Amazon for $540 million in the fall, has created electronic commerce pages on Facebook for Soap.com, BeautyBar.com and Diapers.com. These are companies owned by Quidsi, and their social network presence together amounts to about 60,000 fans.

When you go to Soap.coms Facebook page, you see a tab called My List where you can search for and purchase products all within the social network. The shopping cart on the site looks like a more sophisticated, cleaner version of the one on Amazon.com, and lets you confirm what you want to purchase. The tool also tracks your order, and encourages you to like the product.

What I found most helpful was the My Lists tab, which let me shop across all of Quidisis destinations (Diapers, Soap, and Beauty Bar), reorder, and customize my shopping list. This seems like a more robust version of FatWallet.

Quidisi somewhat resembles Storenvy in allowing you to shop from stores within a single tab. However, while Storenvy requires you to create a specific account for the application,My Lists just asks you for the login youve previously used on BeautyBar.com, Soap.com, or Diapers.com.

  • Downloading the entire marketplace using a C# code snippet that was provided
  • Circumventing the maximum application sideload limit, this was originally outlined on WithinWindows
  • Enabling deployment of the disabled XAP files by deleting a file header inside the XAP "Zip" itself
  • Activating the disabled marketplace XAP by replacing an entry assembly (the example used an open source app which had the debug assembly freely available
  • Removing the XAP's security signatures
  • Replacing the marketplace published entry assembly with a facade debug assembly

Groupon Rejects Google's $6 Billion Offers

As we told you last night about Google to buy Groupon (A daily deals coupon website). Like Amazon to buy LivingSocial, Groupon most successful Rival, But it seems that its not easy to buy any website for money as compare to its revenue in a year.

According to report now Groupon have rejects Google's $6 Billion offer. Citing two sources familiar with the talks, the Chicago Tribune is reporting that Groupon, a fellow resident of Chicago, has decided to go it alone, passing up an offer to be acquired by Google for between $5 billion and $6 billion. The report suggested Groupon hasn't made a final decision about whether it wants to pursue an initial public offering but might go down that road next year.

Talks had been reportedly hot and heavy between Groupon and Google, always looking to boost its presence in local advertising markets and acquire sources of data about consumer buying intent. Groupon offers a "deal of the day" to users, usually a significant discount on a sought-after product or service in their city or town.

Google would love to add that kind of service geared around specifically targeted local markets, which is seen as a big source of future Internet advertising growth. It's not clear if Google was unwilling to go high enough for Groupon's tastes (although $6 billion would have been Google's largest purchase by a significant margin) or if Groupon simply believed it could chart its own path, following start-ups such as Twitter that have drawn Google's interest but generated momentum on their own: All Things D reported earlier on Friday that Groupon was doing as much as $2 billion a year in revenue.

A Google representative declined to comment on what the company termed "rumor and speculation," while representatives Groupon did not immediately respond to a request seeking comment.

Google Chrome OS Event And Web Store Schedule

Everybody seems to be waiting a long for news about Google next big project Chrome Operating System. So now your wait is over. Google has now plan an event this Tuesday to share some exciting news regarding its Chrome OS. Google could finally be ready to shed a little more light on the progress of its Chrome OS project.

The company sent out invitations to an event next Tuesday, December 7, in San Francisco "where we plan to share some exciting news about Chrome," according to a copy of the invitation. No further details were provided.

The Chrome OS Net books and laptop were once expected to arrive before the end of the year, as Google is now expected to merely have a beta software version ready by the end of the year, with consumer-oriented systems not ready until 2011. The idea behind Chrome OS is to create a lightweight browser-based operating system that would run just Web applications, as opposed to native ones.

Another possibility for the event is that Google is ready to show off the Chrome Web Store, which was also expected earlier in the year but has slipped. So keep in touch with us for more update about this main event.

Microsoft To Open Big Store Like Apple

Written By Lingkar Dunia on Saturday, October 9, 2010 | 2:42 AM

Microsoft is planning on opening up a mega-sized store in Mall of America later this year, and not only will this be their biggest store yet, they plan on opening it directly across from an Apple store. For Microsoft to compete against Apples 300+ stores across the world, they need to pull out the big guns for this head-to-head battle.

This will be the fifth Microsoft Store to launch in America, with two already in California, one in Colorado and another in Arizona. Apple already has five stores in Minnesota alone, so this surreal showdown directly across from one another at Mall of America will be interesting.

Twincities.com managed to get some images from within Mall of America, showing where the new Microsoft Store locations will be, and just the scale of how large it will be. Just the sheer size of the
Microsoft Store in Mall of America dwarfs the competition.
It looks as if Microsoft plans on putting their best foot forward with this new store location, showing off their new electronics like the Xbox 360 slim, Kinect and Windows Phone 7. The Microsoft Stores carry all their electronics and hardware, including the Zune HD, Windows 7, Office 2010, and many, more products.

One user has posted a video of the new Microsoft Store location on YouTube:
