Top Five Games Review of the E3 Expo Event 2011

Written By Lingkar Dunia on Sunday, June 12, 2011 | 8:10 AM

Its really been a big and busy week for video gamers from all over the world who has attended the E3 Expo. Some people love them. Some people hate them. But one thing is for sure, they are not going away anytime soon. As soon as they hit the floor at the Los Angeles Convention Center when E3 Expo 2011 opened. So the point is what we have got from E3 Expo event.

Nintendo, showed off a new version of the Wii, called the Wii U. Its controller has a giant screen built into it, enabling "second screen" effects.

Microsoft, will put live TV on the Xbox.

Sony, which is still dealing with its hacker woes, came out with a new portable gaming system called Vita.

But that was not all the news from the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, which is seen as the biggest video gaming event of the year. E3 proves that rumors of blockbuster gaming's demise are greatly exaggerated. This is supposed to be the era of social games, free games, and digital downloads and apps but the big games are all the rage, but everyone is asking which is the Top Five Games from the E3 Expo event? So we are going to review the Top Five Games from the E3 Expo 2011 event.

The following Top Five Games of E3 Expo promise to keep thumbs happily waggling well into 2012.

Star Trek:

Coming in 2012 from Paramount Digital Entertainment, this attractively styled action game based on the upcoming JJ Abrams film reboot allows you to play co-operatively as Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock. A brand new adventure, it sees the dynamic duo teaming up to stop a "legendary enemy race bent on conquering the galaxy" (fingers crossed that's code for Klingons).
Set after the 2009 film and developed by Digital Extremes for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the game also boasts a script featuring input from "God of War" writer Marianne Krawczyk. If the game halfway lives up to the hype, it's sure to live long and prosper.

BioShock Infinite:

Latest in the series of hyperliterate undersea epics, this newest installment in the popular sci-fi role-playing franchise, which lets you hurl ice and fire or annihilate mutant adversaries with steampunk weapons, takes to the clouds instead. Viewing a richly detailed and dystopian world of floating blimps, balloons and ziplines through the eyes of Pinkerton agent Booker DeWitt, players will engage in visceral shootouts or melee combat with twisted DNA-splicing adversaries.
Among the most ambitious titles of the current generation, the game mixes high-flying aerial antics and stomach-clenching shocks. Hopes are high that it will live up to its award-winning predecessors. From teaming up with space- and time-bending female sidekicks to fleeing from hordes of screaming fanatics, its singular tale is likely to captivate PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 players in 2012. PlayStation Move motion control support is also planned.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3:

Given the seemingly boundless popularity of the best-selling military first-person shooter franchise, which draws 20 million online players per month (including 7 million each day), this could be the biggest game of the year.
From claustrophobic raids on steam-filled submarines to frantic sprints down waterways choked by exploding tankers, the series once again ups the graphical ante, and slathers on the summer blockbuster-style set pieces and pyrotechnics. Destined to clash with rival blaster "Battlefield 3," backed by a $100 million marketing campaign courtesy of publisher Electronic Arts, it's one of the titles you'll be unable to escape this holiday season.
While it's not garnering as much excitement as its record-shattering predecessor, extensive head-to-head and persistent multiplayer options ensure it'll still pack a full clip when it ships November 8 for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim:

Few fantasy role-playing games can approach the sheer scope, variety, or richness of "The Elder Scrolls" series, renowned for its open-ended play and comprehensively appointed worlds. Sticking with tradition, its latest rendition lets you wield swords and spells against giant spiders, fang-faced wolves or leering humanoid monstrosities. It delivers a dazzlingly rendered world filled with stunning environs and believable characters.
By siphoning off dragons' powers, you can also gain in stature and prowess, acquiring superhuman abilities when touting swords and axes just aren't enough.
The millions of players who enjoyed previous outing "Oblivion," as well as newcomers to the series, likely won't be disappointed when it debuts for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 11.

Tomb Raider:

Previous "Tomb Raider" games have been a mixed bag of good ("Tomb Raider 2"), bad ("Tomb Raider 3"), and heartbreaking ("Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness"). This latest in the series -- a prequel which makes the game's star, Lara Croft, seem much more human -- looks to be a winner.
The game has closely positioned cameras, and larger characters make the game's action instantly feel more immediate and visceral. And trailers promise a gripping storyline.
With over 35 million games sold, the franchise's latest is likely to prove a winner when it launches for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 next year.

Sony Ericsson's Gingerbread Smartphone 'Hallon' Pictures Leak

Written By Lingkar Dunia on Monday, December 27, 2010 | 7:20 AM

Sony-Ericsson
After the successful launched of Samsung Google Nexus S, the mobile companies still not stop to build smartphones with latest technology, Now Sony Ericsson is back with its another latest device codename 'Hallon' which is build on latest Google Android Technology "Gingerbread".

Sony Ericsson's latest device 'Hallon' picture has been leaked on Engadget. This new Sony Ericsson model appears to be packing a big photographic punch. As you can see from the picture below the device appears to have a very large front-facing camera. Could this hint at a focus on facial recognition or video calls? Maybe HD video?

The images come from a Picasa account filled with test pictures and seems to be on the Vodafone Germany network. More interesting, one of the pictures shows Sonys Timescape UI, a modification of Android 3.0 (Gingerbread). Like many Android manufacturers, Sony is choosing to modify the core Google Android interface to make its devices look slicker and different from the competition.

Also interesting is the lack of a search button on the bottom of the unit, a common feature of Android phones. Pocketnow guesses that the device is codenamed Hallon and has a model number of MT15i.

Highlight Points of Sony's E-Reader Touch Edition (PRS650RC):
The Sony Reader Touch Edition is an eBook reader that packs in a lot of features but still fails at delivering an extremely comfortable reading experience. It almost has everything to be a great eBook reader but it falls short with the most basic characteristic an eBook reader should have: an eye-friendly screen. In this review, we'll discuss the pros and cons of the Sony Reader Touch Edition.

Starts with Basic following Points:
  • Accessories - USB Cable, Quick Start(TM) Guide, WarrantyFeatures
  • Choose more books from more places
  • Carry up to 1,200 of your favorite books at a time or more
  • Intuitive design with full 6 clear touch screen
  • Paper-like display for easy, natural reading
Design
The size of this eBook reader makes it more compact than most popular eBook readers, giving it an edge in portability. The design of the Sony Reader Touch Edition is definitely sleek, complementing its touchscreen display and elegant frame. However, the eBook reader's biggest problem lies in its touchscreen display. There is too much glare on the screen that reading an eBook might become a difficult and uncomfortable experience. This design flaw causes eye strain, which may prove to be its undoing. The touchscreen makes this flaw somewhat bearable if you are not a heavy reader, but if you are constantly reading eBook after eBook, the intuitive navigation provided by the touchscreen display may not be enough to distract you from the fact that it's almost impossible to read comfortably with the constant glare on the screen.

User Interface
The touchscreen interface gives you an intuitive way to turn pages by either flicking the page. The option to set the direction gives you the choice of flicking forward or backward, whatever is more comfortable for you. It doesn't have a flashy interface, which is fine because its main purpose is to let you read an eBook and not be pretty. Swiping, flicking and tapping on the touchscreen makes navigating the user interface a breeze.

Features
The Sony Reader Touch Edition has a built-in dictionary that is not very exhaustive, but still pretty useful in most cases. It's very handy too since you can use it as you are reading a page without losing your place in the eBook. Just tap on a word and this feature kicks in. Double tapping a page calls upon another feature which is bookmarking. Double tap a page and it becomes bookmarked. Double tapping it again removes the bookmark. It's a very handy feature that is easily accessed. Its features, although simple, are quite elegant and handy.

Performance
The battery life of the Sony Reader Touch Edition is one of its strengths. You can use it for up to 11 days before its battery gives out, which is a great way for regular readers to enjoy this device on a regular basis without the hassle of charging it every once in a while.

Conclusion:
So that was my Review and Experience about two most promising E-Readers "Amazon Kindle DX Wireless Reading Device" and "Sony's E-Reader Touch Edition (PRS650RC)".

So now its up to you which one you should purchase and make your life more easier.
