Sony Ericsson's Gingerbread Smartphone 'Hallon' Pictures Leak

Written By Lingkar Dunia on Monday, December 27, 2010 | 7:20 AM

Sony-Ericsson
After the successful launched of Samsung Google Nexus S, the mobile companies still not stop to build smartphones with latest technology, Now Sony Ericsson is back with its another latest device codename 'Hallon' which is build on latest Google Android Technology "Gingerbread".

Sony Ericsson's latest device 'Hallon' picture has been leaked on Engadget. This new Sony Ericsson model appears to be packing a big photographic punch. As you can see from the picture below the device appears to have a very large front-facing camera. Could this hint at a focus on facial recognition or video calls? Maybe HD video?

The images come from a Picasa account filled with test pictures and seems to be on the Vodafone Germany network. More interesting, one of the pictures shows Sonys Timescape UI, a modification of Android 3.0 (Gingerbread). Like many Android manufacturers, Sony is choosing to modify the core Google Android interface to make its devices look slicker and different from the competition.

Also interesting is the lack of a search button on the bottom of the unit, a common feature of Android phones. Pocketnow guesses that the device is codenamed Hallon and has a model number of MT15i.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Review.

Written By Lingkar Dunia on Sunday, January 24, 2010 | 7:19 AM

After successful launched of Google Nexus One mobile technology now Sony Ericsson is all set to launched it first ever Android mobile technology, the XPERIA X10, in London two months ago, but I had to wait for CES to get my first look at the device on this side of the Atlantic.

As you'd expect, the Sony Ericsson stand at the massive Sony Electronics booth was crowded with people wanting to get a look at the handset. And there's no wonder why--the X10 is a sight to behold. Its slim profile and clean lines hit high on the beauty scale, and I enjoyed how sturdy and comfortable it felt in my hand. Front and center is a brilliant display that measures 4 inches; that's bigger than the display on the Moto Droid.

Inside, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 offers plenty to gape at. It runs on a Snapdragon 1GHz processor and offers an 8.1-megapixel camera with flash and video recording, a music and video player, Wi-Fi, GPS, a full Web browser, PC syncing and USB mass storage, a personal organizer, and a speakerphone.

The X10 runs Google Android, and Sony Ericsson adds on another interface layer with its User Experience Platform. Though we don't see any reason to hide Android behind a mask, the Timescape feature was somewhat appealing. Like Motoblur on the Motorola Cliq, it organizes your communication in a central place.
