Written By Lingkar Dunia on Saturday, April 16, 2011 | 1:53 AM

Microsoft has released the Internet Explorer 10 platform preview video for users. Microsoft published the video on Channel9 website and is currently developing the platform and looking for user feedback. Microsoft more said that:

IE10 builds on IE9 with support for even more standards like CSS3 gradients, multi-column, and grid layouts. In this video Rob Mauceri walks us through some of the new features of IE10 including an example of flowing of content in multi-column layouts.

According to Microsoft representative Internet Explorer 10 will not be available for Windows Vista users. Just a day after announcing the Platform Preview for IE10, Vista users will not be able to install the Platform Preview, nor the final release of Internet Explorer 10.

Both the release notes and installation process mention that the IE10 Platform Preview 1 requires Windows 7 32 bit or 64bit for installation. According to Computerworld, Microsoft also made it clear that when Internet Explorer 10 launches, only Windows 7 users will be able to install the latest version of the browser.

The Internet Explorer Platform Preview requires Windows 7 (x86 or x64) Operating System. Platform Preview 4 and later require updates to be installed on Windows 7 systems, after which your computer will require a restart.

A Microsoft spokesperson said that the main reason behind dropping the support for Vista in Internet Explorer 10 is to focus on innovation on a modern operating system and modern hardware. As market share for both Windows XP and Vista quickly fall, more and more products are likely to be limited to Windows 7.

You can get a copy of the Internet Explorer 10 platform preview video by visiting the IE Test-drive website, Microsoft is expecting to update the build every 12 weeks.

Internet Explorer 10 To Launch With Windows 8?

Written By Lingkar Dunia on Friday, March 18, 2011 | 11:12 AM

Rumors are spreading rapidly now a days about Microsoft Windows 8 operating system. Internet Explorer 9 has already launched by Microsoft, infact its not even a month of its release and now, Internet Explorer 10 rumors are already starting to surface. The latest, and possibly first, IE10 rumor says that it will ship with Windows 8.

This information has been leaked by Chinese website Win7China, who is claiming that they have a solid source of information that this rumor holds a bit of weight. They also state that IE10 is already in Windows 8 M3, but we have yet to confirm that information.

The idea of including IE10 with Windows 8 seems logical. Considering that IE9 just launched, if the rumored Windows 8 launch days are correct, the browser would be well over a year old when Windows 8 finally ships to the consumer. Other than this little bit of information, not much else is known about IE10.
