Neil Gaiman's Newbery-winning The Graveyard Book has won the UK's prestigious Carnegie Medal. The equally illustrious Kate Greenaway Medal for an illustrated children's book has gone to Australian illustrator Freya Blackwood for Harry & Hopper (with story by Margaret Wild). Published in the UK and Australasia by Scholastic, the book is not available in the US.
